Dr. Seuss

The Gallery @ Racine is proud to be one of the 99 galleries worldwide that carries Dr. Seuss' artwork. Along with the well-known Illustration Art from his wildly popular children's books, there is the little known Secret Art, Unorthodox Taxidermy, and Seusian bronze sculptures. Although very popular for his books, he also created many works of fine art that stayed hidden in his house until his death, when his wife began releasing his work to the public.

Cedar

Steve Jameson, “Cedar,” studied art at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. After graduating, he moved to Myrtle Beach, SC. He owns a sign shop on the beach where he creates custom carved and painted signs. Under the name “Cedar”, he paints bright scenes of the old beach houses in the area. Cedar's work is done with a palette knife in vibrant oils.

Chloe Renee Butler

Chloe Renee Butler is an accomplished oil painter, and mother of two. She has taught both French and art in Louisiana, and attended Southern Louisiana University for her second art degree. Her work in the Gallery @ Racine is primarily oil on wood panels. The paintings flow with the grain on the wood and become an intricate and intriguing part of the composition. Her technique of incorporating the wood grain into her painting gives them a unique look that is completely irreproducible.

George Pocheptsov

Own a piece of history in the making. This 17-year old child-prodigy started his career at the age of 17 months, drawing cars and scenes from sight. Fifteen years later, with numerous national talk show appearances, many features in periodicals and countless newspaper articles throughout the world, he continues to create his images on paper and canvas. This self-taught artist continues to amaze all who see his paintings. His new work utilizes more mixed media and three dimensional canvases. Each piece starts as sketches which are then combined and transformed into complex compositions showing advanced design, texture and layering techniques. Often compared to Picasso and Chagall, George blesses us with his incredibly imagery, energy and talent. Enrich your life and take advantage of a rare opportunity.
